Sharjah Cooperative Participates in AUS Career Fair

Sharjah Cooperative has taken part in the annual career fair held at the American University of Sharjah, under the patronage of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, opened by HE Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qassimi, Chairman of the Ruler’s office, HE Waleed bin Falah Al Mansouri, Deputy Chairman of the board of directors at Sharjah Cooperative, and Dr. Björn Kjerfve Chancellor of the American University of Sharjah.
Sheikh Salem Al Qassimi and Dr. Björn Kjerfve visited the Cooperative’s pavilion and praised the sophisticated technology being utilized to communicate with students to explore their career choices.
HE Waleed bin Falah Al Mansouri stressed the career fair’s important role in bridging the gap between the students and the business world where knowledge and skills are being applied, and added that the Cooperative has ensured through its presence to give students and graduates the opportunity to fill out job application forms online so that the HR department can have immediate access to them and choose the ones that are eligible.
A graduating senior at the Cooperative’s pavilion said this career fair is abundant with well-known businesses and has allowed them to speak to their representatives face-to-face, who can give students advice on job opportunities and how to search for work after graduations.
The Cooperative’s pavilion is remarkable for allowing students to apply for work at the Cooperative online using touch screens and programs that sort out applications instantly according to its needs.
