Sharjah Cooperative Visits Wadi Al Hilu Area Residents

Sharjah Cooperative Society visited Wadi Al Hilu area, accompanying a delegation from the Supreme Council for Family Affairs’ cultural and media office, as part of the “Shees wa Akhawatuha” program for excursions, organized jointly with Sharjah Cooperative.
The delegation was received by Khamis bin Saeed Al Mazroui, Emir of Wadi Al Hilu area, and Ahmed Al Mazroui, Wadi Al Hilu Municipality Chairman, along with some residents of the area, who hosted them in Wadi Al Hilu Diwan, where they were briefed on the area and its residents, its wealth of tourist areas full of heritage and culture, preserved among the mountains without hindering the pursuit of education and culture at the cultural establishments nearby.
The Emir of the area talked about enjoying the patronage of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and he expressed his gratitude towards His Highness for his generous gifts and continual support, and keenness to follow up the residents of Wadi Al Hilu to achieve a decent living and a prosperous future.
The Emir of the area said the area got its name for its fresh water that was abundant before recent weather changes, and still the area has been transformed into a civil area with all the infrastructure of town living.
The Emir talked about how life used to be difficult in the past and all the difficulties faced the residents to reach Kalbaa and other areas. The most distinguishing aspect of the area is its farms that are rich in flora and fauna, in addition to separate schools for girls and boys.
Ahmed Al Mazroui, Wadi Al Hilu Municipality’s Chairman took the delegation on a tour of the area, where they got acquainted with the public facilities such as a medical center, public library, police station, ladies club, public schools, nurseries, and public housing units, totaling 124 unit.
Sharjah Cooperative staff stopped by some homes and presented their occupants with gifts from the Cooperative’s management, such as fruit baskets, cutlery, and plates. The residents welcomed Sharjah Cooperative’s staff and the Emir of the area thanked the management of the Cooperative for this visit.
