Sharjah Coop launches shopping services through WhatsApp Business in the Emirate of Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates.
Sharjah Coop, the first and most widespread cooperative in the United Arab Emirates in terms of the number of geographically distributed branches in the Emirate of Sharjah, announced the launch of the first shopping service through WhatsApp Business in the Emirate of Sharjah and in the United Arab Emirates as part of a package of technical innovative initiative that it developed to serve residents all over the Emirate, including remote areas where stores and shops are not sufficiently available.
His Excellency the CEO stated that this project is an effective communication and cooperation project between Sharjah Coop and its customers in line with the directives of the wise leadership and commitment to the surrounding area in supplying service to all regions of Sharjah.
“WhatsApp Business” was launched on Monday, August 10th, 2020, as a virtual employee service trading platform that relies on drawing and specializes in responding to customers’ requests, as the platform enables shoppers to place their orders via WhatsApp safely using the “We Are at Your Service” initiative.
The virtual customer service works to answer customer inquiries in both Arabic and English, with the service of providing daily and monthly offers, receiving suggestions and complaints, and working to solve them in coordination with customer service through a unified number that includes all services provided, and thus Sharjah Coop is the first among the sales outlets in the country to verify its “WhatsApp Business” account.
The CEO added that this service will provide a safe and smooth shopping experience throughout the week, starting from 8 AM until 8 PM, through 11 branches, where it is possible to order through the WhatsApp Business account and collect from the car from one of the following branches: Helwan, Al-Qarayen, Suweihat, Al-Raqqa, Al-Nakhilat, Al-Khan, Al-Layyah, Al-Dhaid, Kalba, Khorfakkan, and Dibba Al-Hisn.
The “We Are At Your Service” service package also includes a set of options that facilitate the ordering process for shoppers, the most important of which are: the service of creating a new order, following up or receiving the order, viewing current offers, communicating with the customer service team, and more than 300 items are available in the system. Products that meet their daily needs.

It is worth noting that the Sharjah Cooperative was established in 1977 as the first cooperative in the United Arab Emirates, and over the years it has witnessed a significant increase in the percentage of sales in its branches and through the E-Commerce service, as Sharjah Coop witnessed an increase in the percentage of sales in 2020 amounted to 13% compared to last year, and as recorded, the E-Commerce website, which focuses on home delivery, increased by 160% in 2020 compared to last year.
